Henry Waggoner
DOB:  ? DOD:  ? Age at Enlistment: ? Date of Enlistment:  May 9, 1861 Place of Enlistment:  Franklin, TN Rank at Enlistment:  Private Rank at Discharge:  Private Casualty:  Henry was severely wounded in the arm at Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863. Comments:  Henry enlisted at the Company’s formation and was appears as present on all rosters until July and August of 1862 where he is listed as sick in Chattanooga.  He was severely wounded at the Battle of Missionary Ridge in 1863.  In April 1864, he is listed as being paid in Atlanta and “furlough” is written at the top of the sheet, so he is either on furlough or about to receive one.  He took the Oath of Allegiance on July 20, 1864 at Chattanooga.  Not sure if he was captured on the Atlanta Campaign or if he deserted.  July would have been longer than his furlough probably lasted and for him to take the oath in Chattanooga would have meant he had just recently got there.  His parole records describes him as Complexion:  Light; Hair: Sandy; Eyes: Blue; Height: 5'3".
