Marshall and the couple had at least two children.  The 1870 Census shows him working as a clerk in the 14th District of Williamson County (between Franklin and Arrington).  After marrying, it appears he spent the rest of his life in the same area as a farmer based on census records.  He is buried in Section B of Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin, TN.
